PSYCHODYNAMIC THERAPIES

The theories I like to use with individuals are psychodynamic therapies - this approach focuses on changing problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts by discovering their unconscious meanings and motivations; behavior therapy - this approach focuses on learning's role in developing both normal and abnormal behaviors; cognitive therapy - cognitive therapy emphasizes what people think rather than what they do; existential therapy - focuses on free will, self-determination and the search for meaning. I believe blending elements from different approaches and tailor the treatment according to each client's needs.

​Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an effective treatment, helps individuals understand and change the connections between the impressions of their life events, emotional responses, how their body reacts, and the choices they make. We work with you to identify treatment goals that will be most practical, productive, and meaningful to you.

​I have worked since 2007 in social services field with 30+ years volunteering with youth. I strongly believe in CBT and the power of attachments in forming one's beliefs. I have additional training helping people through Trauma-Focused CBT.

​I have received an extensive amount of training including structural family therapy. I specialize in a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationships, anger control, and coping skills. I have a wide variety of work experiences, including individual, group, and family counseling.
